Héctor Olea's extensive three-decade involvement in the Mexican energy sector has been instrumental in positioning Gauss as a leading force in the realm of renewable energies. Under his guidance, Gauss has emerged as a prominent company within the sector, renowned for its contributions to renewable energy initiatives. Through his leadership, Gauss has effectively directed more than US$700 million towards clean energy projects, solidifying its standing in the industry. Before the inception of Gauss two decades ago, he held the role of CEO at Suez in Mexico, showcasing his capacity for strategic leadership, and  served as Chairman of the Mexican Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE), affording him the opportunity to actively shape energy policies and regulations within Mexico.

Héctor Olea holds an economics degree from ITAM (Mexico), and went on to attain a Master's and a PhD in Economics from Rice University (US). He was recognized 1989 with the Banamex Economics Award.

David Briseño

EVP of Development
With a career spanning more than 15 years, he has honed a profound expertise in solar energy, complemented by a comprehensive understanding of renewable energy encompassing both technical and commercial dimensions. His engagement with Gauss is notably characterized by his active participation in the formulation, implementation, and oversight of energy projects. In this capacity, his responsibilities encompass orchestrating and conducting detailed technical and commercial assessments of projects, with a keen emphasis on evaluating their overarching economic feasibility. Moreover, he assumes a pivotal role across multiple facets of projects, encompassing the realms of engineering planning, procurement of essential equipment, project construction, and the crucial commissioning phase.

With an extensive background spanning 25 years in the realm of fiscal and accounting services, coupled with 15 years of active engagement within the financial sector, Galo Soberón assumes a crucial and central role in Gauss. His responsibilities encompass the strategic oversight and orchestration of day-to-day management, HR and accounting operations within the organization.

Victor Félix

VP of Projects
With over 22 years in developing supervision activities and quality systems within various facilities, Victor Felix expertise extends to electricity generation projects, covering both Mexico and Europe. He has been involved in diverse types of power generation facilities, including combined cycle plants, thermoelectric plants, solar thermal plants, and photovoltaic plants. At Gauss, Víctor oversees the operation and management of the Aura Solar I and III PV facilities. His responsibilities span beyond daily operations; he also takes charge of coordinating operational and commercial relations with several critical stakeholders, including Cenace, CFE, municipal authorities, unions, and engineering, procurement, and construction service companies.

At Gauss, she holds a pivotal role centered around project financial structuring. She exercises oversight over the financial aspects of operations and administration concerning the Aura Solar Initiative, underscoring her indispensable contribution to the organization.

Carolina Salazar's educational accomplishments include a Master's Degree in Administration, specialized in Finance, from ITAM, and Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from the Technological University of Mexico, enriched by a postgraduate focus on Finance. 

Natalia Rojo

Drawing on her experience, Natalia Rojo brings a wealth of knowledge in process analysis and optimization to his role. Her collaboration with Gauss is particularly focused on data analysis and fine-tuning of plant optimization strategies. She plays a vital role in monitoring Operations & Maintenance (O&M) programs, ensuring they are executed effectively, and contributes to the integration of novel technologies into the into the company’s operations.

Natalia, a Chemical Engineer hailing from the Universidad Iberoamericana (Mexico), has positioned herself as a dynamic asset to the team. Her academic pursuits include a Diploma in Financial Education from Condusef and additional professional studies undertaken at the prestigious Politecnico di Milano in Italy.

Teresa García

Administration Manager
With an extensive background spanning over 28 years within the Mexican energy sector, Tere García has been an integral part of Gauss Energía since its inception. Her role encompasses diverse administrative functions, extending across group companies, overseeing general services, and ensuring exceptional customer service. Notably, she played a collaborative role within the CRE team responsible for crafting structural reforms pertaining to natural gas and electricity. In addition, she was instrumental in Mexico's accession to the OECD.

Teresa García's educational credentials include a Diploma in Trade Policy from the World Trade Organization (WTO) in Geneva, Switzerland. She also holds a degree in International Relations from UNAM (Mexico).

Uriel Espinosa

O&M Manager
With an extensive professional history spanning over 15 years in the electrical mechanical sector, he has cultivated expertise through a range of activities. These encompass supervision and construction of electrical installations across varying voltage levels, both overhead and underground. He is also adept at electrical equipment testing and the maintenance of electro-mechanical machines. Within Gauss, he takes on the critical responsibility of coordinating O&M activities for the Aura Solar plants in Mexico. His role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of these solar energy facilities.

Uriel Espinosa's academic foundation is grounded in Mechanical-Electrical Engineering, earned from the University of Guadalajara (Mexico).

Francisco Rocha

Plant Supervisor
Having accumulated 12 years of experience in the electricity sector, including a dedicated span of eight years focused on photovoltaic solar generation, he has emerged as a specialist with a distinctive proficiency in O&M activities. Since 2013, he has assumed the crucial responsibility of monitoring and overseeing the operations of the Aura Solar facilities. Prior to this, he completed his professional residency at the Aura Solar I photovoltaic plant, further solidifying his grasp of solar energy systems. Notably, his journey commenced at CFE, where he held the role of Measurement Maintenance Technician.

Francisco Rocha's academic background is grounded in Electromechanical Engineering, earned from the Technological Institute of La Paz (Mexico).

With a substantial eight-year tenure, she serves as O&M Supervisor at Aura Solar III, a role that has nurtured her specialization in the meticulous measurement and analysis of photovoltaic system generation. Her involvement at Gauss extends back to early 2018, marked by active participation in the construction, commissioning, and start-up phases of the Aura III project. Her role here encompassed rigorous supervision across construction stages, material and equipment procurement, and rigorous quality testing. Prior to this, she enriched her experience as an engineering assistant, focusing on the installation of photovoltaic systems at Thrive Solar.
